"Skeleton Roommate" is the first episode of the second season of the Offices & Bosses miniseries. It was originally released on April 4, 2018. This miniseries takes place following season 2, episode 53, "Advanced Offices & Bosses".
Description
Klax the Skeleton joins Arnie, Usidore and Chunt for an all-new game of Offices and Bosses, led by Metamore.
Summary
Arnie, Chunt, Usidore are again playing the roleplaying game Offices & Bosses with the Office Manager Metamore in the Vermilion Minotaur.
They start by apologizing for how long it’s been since they last played, blaming the Siege of Hogsface and their own imprisonment. Metamore announces they’ll be playing the new “Unemployed” expansion.
The skeleton Clax passes the table and asks if he can sit in, being an avid Offices & Bosses player in other groups himself.
Clax selects the character Ron Bingo, a junkie; Usidore continues to use his long-running character John Bastion who has been fired; Chunt creates a new character named Danger La Grange, who both is a Trust Fund Baby/DJ and a literal tiny baby. Arnie wishes to play as Jedi Knight Hayden Christensen, but Metamore says the closest character class is Art School Graduate. The characters are all roommates in John Bastion’s apartment, having been invited in to help him cover rent.
As they begin the game, Metamore reveals there will be one more player, playing several roles including that of their landlord: Dorian Deville, Trickster God. Usidore, Chunt, and Arnie are shocked that such a villain would be invited to the game, but Metamore explains:
Following the events of Offices & Bosses Season One, Metamore grew confident that he was indeed Dragonborn, and was looking forward to joining Usidore and company in their quest. However, on the day of their planned departure a milk jug fell from a shelf in the stable where he lives and works, and his head remained stuck inside during the Battle of Hogsface. Someone offered to help him remove the jug, and Metamore agreed that if they did so he would “owe them one.” It was Dorian, and his price was joining the game.
The game begins. The group interacts as roommates, draw the attention of Mr. and Mrs. Ropley, the landlord and his wife. Mrs. Ropley is particularly taken with Hayden. Take-out is ordered, and the players stay up late watching premium movies instead of going to sleep at a reasonable hour for the Job Fair the next morning.
Arnie tries to explain content warnings, and the Foon natives are confused by what Earth people find offensive. Clax admits Ron’s problems parallel his own issues in life and death.
Ron Bingo fails a sobriety roll and has to got to rehab. Mrs. Ropley gives everyone a ride to the Job Fair, except for Danger, who rides a dragonfly.
