"Hunger Ghost" is the twenty-sixth episode of season one of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on September 1, 2015. This episode features Brett Lyons as Hungho the Hunger Ghost.
Description
"I didn’t see him at first — probably because he’s a ghost, but Chunt’s dad is sitting at our table. I’m so excited to learn more about where Chunt came from."
Summary
Chunt and Usidore have been tweeting a lot and fighting over Arnie's computer, and Arnie thinks that they are getting too much screen time on his computer. He says he will limit their computer usage to one hour each. Usidore talks about Fleek in reference to a tweet. We find out that we are in the middle of Vwishtash.
Today's guest is Chunt's dad, the hunger ghost named Hungho (pronounced ˈhjugoʊ, like the Earth name "Hugo"). Usidore orders a bunch of food for the guest, as he is obviously very hungry. We learn about his how he died, and what happens when a person becomes a hunger ghost.
Chunt points out that his dad has the best jokes, and tells an amazing knock-knock joke he learned from him. Hungho tells some more jokes and points out that your jokes change when you die or when you have children. Usidore confirms that Arnie has a child, and he is not funny.
Hungho talks about the powers that hunger ghosts don't have, and what raising Chunt was like. They give Arnie a hard time, and they decide to play a game of Dragon's Talon. Everyone fails to pay Arnie a decent compliment, except for Usidore, who repeats his belief in Arnie's destiny to defeat The Dark Lord. Hungho is also excited about his son's restaurant development and very much wants to try out the food when it opens. He talks more about his family, and they go to the email segment when he starts sharing a little too much information. After reading emails, we learn about some Foonish holidays.
