Description
"The weekly variety show hosted by Chunt, the King of the Badgers, at the Vermilion Minotaur."
Summary
Craig opens the show and blames you for this.
Chunt greets the crowd with a resounding “Aww ye, baybees!!” and welcomes everyone to Chunt's Night! Before starting the show he does a quick scan of the room to see if Arnie has shown up yet, which he has not. He seems nervous and disappointed that he’s not there.
He makes some observational humor about wind before introducing Melchoir, Keeper of the Doom Horn to the stage.
Melchoir introduces himself and tells a story about his predecessor called “The Prank That Destroyed A World.” His name was Louie Strongarm and he was a chipmunk who was tricked by Spintax the Green to destroy both the Cloud Kingdom and start the Great War of the Sea. Louie being fired is how Melchior got his job.
Melchoir then asks an audience member to blow a kazoo, which will tell him how they die. He foresees that they will be turned into a tiny sparrow by an evil wizard, and then be killed by a less evil wizard in a game of Mittens. Another audience member is asked to blow the kazoo, showing Melchoir that they are fated to die in a battle with the Dark Lord.
Chunt returns and scans again to see if Arnie is there, which he is not. Chunt assures us this is fine. He then reveals a couple of Usidore's secret names:
- Thomas Foolery (Tom)
- Slophouse Quarterly (on occasion)
- Tragedy Daniels
He reads an email asking “Why is the tavern outside today?” (In reference to the scenery on stage, see the BTS photo). Turns out they’re on the tavern’s back patio.
Spurt the Elder is introduced as the next guest. He raps one song he calls The Prince of Belaroth and another song about Usidore.
Chunt comes back out and scans the audience once again to see if Arnie is there. He’s still not, and Chunt apologizes for sometimes calling him a fuckface.
Chunt then plays Cat or Doctor with audience members before introducing Lois and Shark to the stage. They sing a song about being in love called I Caught You, Shark.
Chunt comes back out, scans the crowd again (Arnie still isn’t there) and continues with sharing some of Usidore’s secret names:
- Toby Lorone
- Wheeeeeeee!
- Heathcliff
- Taft Backwater
- Sleepy La Beef
- Pleasure Herrera (look up the spelling on this one)
The next guest is D'athaniel Quen'yarvin (DQ) who recites a poem called An Ode to Kicking, written by himself.
Chunt returns, still looking for Arnie, before bringing Pizza Skull to the stage.
Pizza Skull asks for a volunteer from the audience, when out of nowhere Arnie comes up and volunteers! The audience cheers as he comes on stage and we can hear Chunt sniffling a bit as he tries to hide his tears, and Arnie tries to comfort him.
Pizza Skull tells his origin story, in which he died in a pizza-related incident. He then asks Arnie to go on a quest to find him some pizza, which Chunt brings out, and Arnie is asked to hand feed to Pizza Skull.
While Arnie is feeding Pizza Skull, Chunt asks Arnie why he’s never been to a Chunt’s Night before now. Arnie reveals that he’s been to Chunt’s Night a bunch of times, but the first thing he heard was Chunt calling him a fuckface so he left, but he’s been there 30 times in the past year and a half without telling Chunt. Chunt tries to explain that fuckface actually stands for Friends Understand Chunt’s Knight. Friends? Arnie, Chunt, Eternally.
Arnie and Chunt share a romantic piece of pizza and the episode ends.
