List of episodes

"Fooniverse: Slambook" is a Patreon bonus episode of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on January 13, 2022.

Description

Arnie finds a Slambook. The hosts finally get to answer questions about what they think of each other.

Summary

During the Patreon intro, Chunt notices the slight changes in Arnie’s delivery. Chunt teases Arnie’s stutter, but when Arnie attempts to mock his own words, the babbling causes magic to put Chunt’s feet where Chunt’s next is. Usidore is able to reverse it and Arnie discovers baby magic, some of the most powerful and natural magic out there.

After discussing the different Patreon episodes they could be doing, Arnie proposes an episode based on a “special artifact” that he has from Earth called “Slambook for Friends”. Normally, a slam book is a book where kids write their secrets/thoughts/mean things/etc. It’s supposed to be shitty fun. This particular book is a print-on-demand book that is nicer and supposed to facilitate a more structured question and answer slam book for friends to enjoy. The book has two sheets of questions that gets repeated throughout the book, so each person can have two pages filled out. The group starts with Arnie slamming Chunt.

Below are the Questions with the questions boiled, the official answer underlined, and side talked italicized (There are 35 questions):

  1. Name: Chunt
  2. Nickname: Chu Chu; Lil’ Squish
  3. Email: moc.liamg|ttttttnuhc__#moc.liamg|ttttttnuhc__; moc.liamtoh|hsiuqslil#moc.liamtoh|hsiuqslil; gro.loa|tewteg#gro.loa|tewteg; moc.snafylno|iafirlada#moc.snafylno|iafirlada; ude.drofnats|ecuasttub#ude.drofnats|ecuasttub; zzij.poop|traf#zzij.poop|traf__

  2. Night or Day: Arnie writes Day, though Chunt feels more like a night owl and wanted a few days to think about it.
  3. iPhone or Android: iPhone since that’s what Arnie’s phone is and he uses that. He tries to get more information on the Android, but is completely turned off when Arnie tells him that Androids dream of electric sheep.
  4. Pizza or Tacos: Pacos
  5. Donuts or Cupcakes: Donuts, but Chunt wanted to change his mind when he realized donuts have holes in them, which means less content.
  6. Summer or Winter: Summer
  7. Mountain or Beach: Beach
  8. Sing or Dance: Sing Chunt starts to humm some tap dancing beats, but does not move.

  8. Book: The Great Gatsby, though he admits that he read none of the Book Club books.
  9. Food: Ass

Q&A

  1. What is [Arnie]’s name on your phone: Arnie since it is his phone.
  2. Something You Like in [Arnie]: Has the biggest heart, so welcoming and patient with everyone.
  3. Something You Hate in Arnie: When he doubts himself (truncated version)
  4. What did you feel when you first saw [Arnie]: Horny Ass
  5. What would be your reaction when [Arnie] dies: Denial
  6. Nickname for [Arnie]: Sloppy Jeans
  7. Superpower you would want to have: Shapeshifting
  8. A song to dedicate to [Arnie]: Arnie writes Sexy Dog, but Chunt and Usidore agree that it would be Happy Birthday. Arnie also requests Chunt to sing Sexy Dog to him.
  • Side Question: What words do you want to hear IF you get to heaven: Finally! Get on in here, you ol’ son of a bitch!

During this question, Chunt is disappointed that the question did not provide a lot of room to answer. He compares what to eliminate to how while cooking spinach, the volume reduces in size. Arnie is so sick of Chunt talking about cooking spinach as he has not stopped bringing it up since he started to cook with spinach.

As the questioning goes on, Chunt believes that he is answering these questions to get a job with Arnie. Before the final segment, he promotes his strong qualities to be hired, including how he can cook spinach and gives a poem via slam poetry. Usidore also advocates for Chunt getting the job.

The last bit is to LEAVE A MESSAGE, which could mean anything and could be directed at anyone (though it is Arnie slamming Chunt). The message includes several drawings of dicks, a face, and the words “Arnie Sucks”. nWith all this personal information, Usidore hopes that whoever keeps the book does not commit a crime.

Usidore is ready to be slammed next, but Arnie and Chunt are already so tired. They call upon the Patrons to leave a comment if they want Usidore or Arnie to be slammed next, if at all. Chunt then shifts to “Never Have I Ever” starting with “Never Have I Ever ended a Patreon Episode”

Space Bunker Plot

Craig is still traveling with PV3, but introduces his partner with a slam, in theme of the bonus episode. PV3 is given a chance to slam Craig, but is given the episode to workshop a better slam, which was done successfully.

Behind the Scenes

  • On Adal Rifai's other podcast, Hey Riddle Riddle - Episode 178: ...and Whatnot w/ Janet Varney (who also plays Crone Bakeress), Adal discovers that the line "Rockin' and Rollin'" from Grease ends with "and Whatnot", despite having the clip on hand on his phone. His line as Chunt, "The last one I learned recently" is a direct reference to this.
