Good Queen Elsinore was the ruler of the southern kingdom of Grimfallon. She is deceased, but her heirs did not immediately take the throne up on her death. Instead they were trapped in an enchanted hedgemaze, and the kingdom of Grimfallon fell. Recently the boy king Dartholomew has emerged from the maze as her heir.
In life Elsinore charged the great swordsman Jak Vorpal with a mission to eliminate the menacing Smorps.1
