Hornelius the Fintaur is the grounds keeper at the Jizzlenob Preparatory School for Young Wizards. He is a Fintaur, which is half horse, half merman. He has a tattoo of a half fish/half horse on his chest. His favorite food is worms.

His duties include dredging the lake, re-lava-ing the lava pits, and re-snaking the snake pits. Much of his time is spent trying to capture Andy Kane, the fugitive murderer of the Kandy Kane forest.

Or perhaps not. Hornelius later admits that he is in fact Frank Castle Keeper, the Jizzlenob Castle Keeper, and was telling them story so that the magical grounds insides Castle Jizzlenob, which are actually his responsibility, would seem more impressive compared to unmaintained outer grounds. He also admits he is not a Fintaur, but a instead a centaur covered in paint.

However, once inside the castle, Arnie, Chunt, & Usidore meet another individual who introduces himself as Frank Castle Keeper. The "real" Frank suggest Hornelius may be Andy Kane the murder, though that explanation is not necessarily true since they spotted Andy, or someone, snatching children during the tour with Hornelius.

Hornelius later joins Arnie, Chunt & Usidore for games of Offices and Bosses and Guess Who?, and co-hosts Chunt's relationship advice podcast Hey Tavern Tavern!, the latter after having lost his mojo. None of these follow-up appearances definitively resolve the questions as to his nature or identity.
