Orcs

Orcs are a type of creature native to Foon. They are creations of the Dark Lord, and as such Usidore the Blue believes them completely incapable of goodness.¹

Orcs are divided into tribes, such as the Rock Tribe. Orc funerals are violent affairs, leading to a domino effect of additional deaths that can last years.²

The Dark Lord amasses an army of 20,000 roaring orcs and attacks Hogsface (in what comes to be called the Battle of Hogsface), via a magical portal in the basement of the Vermilion Minotaur. Afterwards hundreds of orcs are left to occupy the town under the watch of other Dark Lord minions.

When control of the town is given to Arnie, Chunt, & Usidore following their truce with the Dark Lord, the orcs remain. With more contact Usidore begins to suspect that they can be taught goodness, and to that end begins to teach them Mittens.
