Description

"An especially lively night in the tavern with visits from a raven, a warrior elf, an ill child, a giant dwarf and a fairy decorator."

Summary

Chunt proposes having conventions where animals dress as humans and bang. Arnie suggests calling them "Fleshies" and explains what Furries are on Earth. Usidore has been using Arnie's phone to learn how to make salsa.

Arnie introduces the first guest, Kermit the talking raven who delivers messages all over Foon but many are mundane like being late to a haircutting appointment. He prefers that the messages are written and decides how many words they can use. Kermit wishes he was a cardinal. Usidore talks about "Featheries" who like to go to conventions dressed as birds to have sex.

Usidore suggests they play a game similar to Telephone on Earth called "Sit in a circle, whisper something into the next person's ear, until it gets back to the first person, and then it's probably wrong" which Chunt suggests they call "Raven Message."

The next guest is Braidwynn the warrior elf, who Arnie keeps introducing by name even though she asked him multiple times not to. They play a round of Raven Message but Arnie screws it up by repeating exactly what he heard (which is not like Telephone at all).

Braidwynn is tired of being a strong warrior so she came into the tavern to meet the strange creature who could contact other worlds so she could possibly escape. Her principal source of power is her braid. She mentions that in one land in Foon there are people called "Tablers" who like to dress as themselves and have sex under tables. Braidwynn used to enjoy activities elves don't normally do like making toys for children for a fearsome white-bearded wizard in the North called "Sanctimonious the Red" who rode eight "thundeer," and hollowing out a tree and making cookies. Braidwynn has shot many victims with arrows but she assumes most of them died of shame or fear from seeing her braid.

The next guest a boy named Timbo the eternally ill. A group called the Wish Masters grant wishes for sick kids so they let him come on this "cast of pod" (not his first choice; he prefers Wait, Wait, Don't Kill Me and Gnome Macdonald's show) as a fan. Timbo contracted the plague at age 3 but is still alive after many harvests despite picking up other diseases like Centaur Herpes and Rot of Crotch. Usidore casts a spell to help Timbo and he ends up feeling better at first, but finds out he picked up Barks.

Matt Dabbin' is the next guest, a giant dwarf. He is a bastard with a dwarven mother and giant father who was kicked out of his community and now earns his living selling t-shirts at festivals (and beheadings), currently for Foonfest which is currently running. He also sells rings for casting minor spells.

Next up is the fairy Jasmine Honeygem (who has every disease). She used to go into people's houses to mess things up but people loved her work so she became a decorator. Her fee is seven sprinklings.
