"Pulcifer the Unassuming" is the thirty-fourth episode of season two of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on November 6, 2017.
Description
We’re joined by a very famous guest… or, rather, his father was famous. He seems okay. It’s Pulcifer the Unassuming.
Summary
Arnie, Chunt, and Usidore find themselves in leadership positions, now running Hogsface as a result of their tenuous cease-fire with the Dark Lord. Also, Chunt has re-opened Chu Chu's Chow! Arnie can't wait to stop by! Usidore has been away on business, souring the libraries in the Great Halls of Terr'akkas, seeking arcane knowledge to defeat, or at least, avoid the Void.
Arnie believes this week's guest may be famous. Pulcifer the Unassuming is a local scholar with a famous dad — Amassadus the Wise! Amassadus is known for having defeated the demons of Svoboda. However, Pulcifer questions if his father was a true hero. It's really easy to demonize demons. Also, what is beauty?
Suddenly Pulcifer emits an otherworldly growl and startles the lads. Questioned about it, he reveals that he is bi-special and possessed by a wereboar named Nuttus. Wereboars are a bit like werewolves, not to be confused with wolves or aware wolves. Pulcifer admits the arrangement can sometimes wear him down, depending on what he's wearing. Arnie seems wary.
Nuttus does not agree with Pulcifer on much. He makes tiny outbursts asserting his theories and views. Nuttus is a well-known conservative commentator with an avid following. He's also a 10/11 truther. He doesn't believe those numbers exist. Usidore understands the appeal of the theory, but doesn't agree with it. He can understand counting, "123456789—fuck it, a dozen." Nuttus' toxic ideologies are beginning to be reflected in how people cast their ballots.
Pulcifer is starting to feel a little envious of all the attention Nuttus and Amassadus are getting. Is nobody interested in Pulcifer? I dunno, has Pulcifer ever resolved a famine? Has Pulcifer created a goddess to defeat demons? #DaddyIssues. Even Usidore has emulated Amassadus occasionally. Arnie questions if the hyperfocus on his father has taken over Pulcifer's life. Pulcifer believes he is close to being published and being granted tenure. Nuttus interjects that he is the real Pulcifer.
Usidore and Chunt record a quick episode of Gettin' Nuts with Nuttus.
Pulcifer notes that he and Nuttus do have a few things in common — for instance, they both love songs that mention towns. Chunt wonders if you bore into the wereboar, would you find a boor or a bore?

Mia Bender suggests the next book for the book club — Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Usidore is amazed that Earth wastes time writing books for children.
