"Globulous" is the seventy-third episode of season two of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on August 19, 2018.
Description
Globulous the floating monster with eye stalks floats into the tavern with plans for the local rec center.
Summary
Arnie, Chunt, and Usidore are in the Ruffled Feather. Chunt is worried he and Twosidore don’t fight enough. Arnie is worried that they haven’t been paying enough attention to Usidore.
The guest is Globulous, the Eye-Tyrant. He is looking for mayoral approval to destroy the Hogsface Rec Center and build condominiums. Usidore is opposed because he worries the displaced children will become Dark Lord minions, but Chunt is mayor that week and is open to persuasion. Globulous has plenty of cash on hand due to his clothing business, which has no overhead since stock comes clothes he takes off adventurers he freezes, and some Crypto Currency, which is currency he found in a crypt. He’s willing to give a sizeable donation to the town in exchange for Chunt’s signature.
Arnie and Usidore instead try to convince Globulous to join the side of good. Globulous has questions: 1) What do good guys do? (Answer: make lists of goals and play games); and 2) What’s in it for Globulous? Besides money, Globulous enjoys rolling in the guts of his slaughtered enemies, and Usidore informs him that as force for good he’ll no doubt end up encountering the guts of trolls and orcs.
That raises another question for Globulous: What are the parts of Foon controlled by the Dark Lord like? Do they have Rec Centers? Usidore explains that Rec Centers do exist under the Dark Lord, but they’re all focused on keeping orcs evil, and keeping them off the street where they might be turn good.
Inspired, they direct Globulous to real estate opportunities in the Valley of Shrike, hoping he can reverse bad guy the bad guys. Chunt ends up refusing his permit.
