"Hogsface and Chicago" is the eighty-sixth episode of season two of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on November 18, 2018.
Description
While the boys in the Tavern get ready for Chunt’s wedding, in Chicago Sarah encounters a magical being.
Summary
Arnie, Chunt and Usidore are discussing plans for both the wedding and the book club, when Fancy Blemish the carfoon dissolves in front of them, his three weeks of life expended. The continue talking but the transmission is interrupted as back on the space bunker Craig has detected magical activity on Earth, originating from the streaming radio station where Sarah works.
Sarah is again hosting the Chicago Knitting and Supernatural Show (formerly the Wiccan Radio Hour) and the lines are open to callers. She’s answering questions and seeking answers of her own about the week the previous year she was missing (having retained no memory of her visit to Foon).
Her third caller is Spintax the Green who, after confirming she is Arnie's wife, transports himself to the studio. He has spent the last of his magic transporting himself across the nation for Sarah’s help in contacting Arnie about the Void. Spintax and Sarah discuss pasta, the Void, and Arnie. Using the last of his magic and Arnie’s sweater taken from Sarah, he attempts to pull Arnie to Earth. Instead, he accidentally brings Usidore from Hogsface to the studio.
Sarah’s memories of Foon are still swiss-cheesed but she recognizes Usidore from the visions he sent her after her return to Earth. Excited at the prospect of reuniting Arnie and Sarah, Usidore uses his recent passage and nether-link with Sarah to send her to Foon, before Spintax can explain that he has no other method to return to Foon.
In the space bunker, alarms blare in response to the trans-dimensional swaps.
In Vermillion Minotaur, Arnie and Chunt are reacting the recent disappearance of Usidore when Sarah appears. Arnie and Sarah have a brief reunion, and all notice that in swapping places with Usidore, she has ended up with his Obsidian arm. Further discussion is cut short when they hear the countdown sounds for Can the Yellow’s spell to send Sarah to space, picking up exactly where it was interrupted during her last visit to Foon.
Arnie promises he’ll stop the spell but Sarah says she knows that’s not who he is. Sure enough, the spell completes and she rockets into space. Distraught at his failure to save his wife, Arnie resolves to become the sort of man who can: Carnival Wilson, the great and terrible evil version of himself Spintax warned him of long ago.
