Description
The boys, still searching for answers at Library of Meridanth, meet a Stinker who creates odors.
Summary
Still in the Library of Meridanth, Arnie, Chunt, and Usidore continue to seek books helpful to their quest, while Arnie gets used to his gummy baby body. He’s flavored as the Foon fruit snozzleberry, the smell of which attracts Guntz, a Stinker.
Stinkers are tiny creatures that create the many smells of Foon, and have been hunted to near extinction by the Dark Lord. Guntz is the last Stinker, and is hiding out in the Library where he’s beyond the Dark Lord’s reach.
Usidore offers to keep an eye out for other Stinkers, but Guntz is disappointed they can’t offer him more. A few magical options are rejected, but Guntz does wish to be invisible to the Dark Lord on a monkey’s paw Chunt finds in the library stacks. Usidore also leaves him a magic rock.
Emails
- Amelie from New Zealand asks if Usidore would cease to exist if he ever defeated the Dark Lord, since that is his wizardly purpose. Usidore believes he’d continue on to fight other evils, but if not feels his life a small price to pay to stop the Dark Lord.
- Chelsea from Vancouver asks what Chunt was when he was born. Having done some “nose medicine” that Guntz was carrying, he is too wound up to answer, or remember if he’s answered the question before (he has, in Season 1, Ep 15 — “Transdimensional Deliveryman”).
