Description
While the boys continue scouring the stacks at the library, Sasha the Scarab comes on the show to find love and someone to eat.
Summary
Still in Library of Meridanth, Arnie remains in the form of a gummy baby, with the sword Obsidian Doom lodged in the chest of his real, mortally wounded, body.
Usidore has encountered a Scarab, a beetle with the power of live and resurrection, named Sasha. Sasha is in a state of despair; to be happy she must have a lover whose body she can slowly eat over the course of a decade, and she believes she will never love again.
Sasha is ready to user her powers to revive Arnie’s body, but because of the sword and its connection to the Dark Lord the process will cause her to explode. Sasha is depressed enough she’s willing to proceed, knowing it will also free the sword and drain some power from the Dark Lord.
Arnie, Chunt, and Usidore can’t resist the urge to play matchmaker, however, and find a series of library patrons who fit Sasha’s type (tall, poor memory). After an interview and taste of flesh she eventually rejects them all and tells Arnie she will continue with the plan to revive him (at the cost of her own life) if she can sample a small bit of his flesh.
Arnie is nervous, as Sasha has already been caught lying about the size of her appetite, and the concern is shown to be well-founded when, after nibbling his toes, Sasha announces she plans to eat the whole of Arnie’s body. Usidore quickly transports her away magically before she can do so.
While down two toes, Usidore also notes that Arnie’s body now has trace amounts of Sasha’s resurrection magic. With a bit more work (seven or eight spells or rituals), Usidore believes he can be revived.
Post credits we see Sasha was transported to the home of Big and Tall Don, the most boring of the suitors, where they are living together unhappily.

- Richard W. wants to know why it taken Usidore 300 years to defeat the Dark Lord. Usidore is offended and more than a little defensive about the question, insisting that between making allies and learning forgotten lore it takes as long as it takes.

- Usidore has learned that some of the refugees from the destruction of Hogsface are building a new town.
- The previous week Guntz warned the trio that the Dark Lord could see them through the books they read. Usidore has found a spell that will allow them to read without being spied on.
