Description
As the boys continue pondering their situation, they meet an old friend who may be able to help keep them fed, Crone Bakeress.
Summary
Derek, aka the Mysterious Man, gains the trust of Tricia in the improv group. She plans to introduce props in their shows.
The group are still in their pocket areas caused by the Shattering. Usidore starts to test the barrier keeping them all in their places by tapping it. Arnie just gave up teaching. Chunt is now a starfish on the beach but part of himself got cut off and another Chunt is formed.
The group discuss being hungry while on their rune call, so they decide to order from Crone Appetit, which is owned by Crone Bakress. Thanks to the Shattering, her business has been booming since she uses magic to transport the food to her customers.
Though she is successful, its difficult to unwind and she has trouble sleeping. Because of this, the group is all concern for her, and Usidore admits that he's very concern with Arnie's nourishment. He requests 50 olive loafs for Arnie, which he didn't want. Chunt ends up eating his clone. Arnie talks about how digestion works, which causes the Crone to fall asleep and talk to her original persona, Braidwynn. They realize that Crone has disassociated herself, but since this is what she wanted, they decide to leave her be.
