Description
We meet a doctor that dabbles in science and is very adamant that he is not mad.
Summary
At the top of the podcast, Arnie wonders how Chunt is doing now that Chunt is a badger head on a bundle of stick. Though he doesn't understand how it works, he wonders if his dissolved sandcastle body has diluted Chunt DNA. Usidore is excited to have their favorite guest, Fizzle von Pizzlewich, on air, but no one contacted him to be on.
To avoid having "another weird three host podcast episode", Arnie prepares his backup plan. He fingers the Rune to call, Dr. Archibald N. Sane, a big fan of the show. Although he cannot meet the gang in person, he is still very excited to be on and strives to be "a brilliant" guest. Dr. Sane is a scientist, but not a mad scientist as his name clearly shows. His father is Dr. Archibald Sane the Second, and his grandfather is Jerimiah Sane, who was, unfortunately, insane. Usidore asks why he's in the scientific field and Dr. Sane states he is not a believer of magic. He has even used science to listen to the podcast and create life. Usidore tries to change his mind about magic by performing tricks for him, such as removing kites from his mouth and origami.
Dr. Sane is a patron of the arts, but could produce art. So, he devoted his time to creating life out of parts. His first attempt, Franklin Einstien, is a mashup of different body parts from his bog. Unfortunately, Franklin was not bright and feared fire. He was considered a monster and Dr. Sane killed him. Another attempt was a man, Terrance, who was mauled by wolves. The hope was for him to turn into a wolf man, but he constantly got lost. Dr. Sane tried to change himself by getting bitten by a bat, but nothing came out of it. Dr. Sane's next attempt was a Gilled man, from the grey sinkhole. He seemed perfect, but the Gilled Man was too comfortable in his sink hole. The last failed attempt was his own "mummy". She was funny on her own, but that spark could not be replicated.
After all the failed attempt, Dr. Sane finally made the perfect guest for Hello from the Magic Tavern, Automaton Constable. They begin to ask him questions based on the play that he was on and Usidore asked him to join his quest. Unfortunately, Automaton Constable has his own mission for justice. Usidore feels that science is great and Dr. Sane feels that magic is pretty great too, especially after Usidore summons tiny horses with top hats. However, once Automaton Constable realized that Dr. Sane had a hand at his family's murder, Automaton Constable kills Dr. Sane.
At the end of the episode, the gang realize that they like fan art and Dr. Sane may have been insane. After the Credits, Dr. Sane rebuilds himself to be Automaton Constable II as the sink hole monster asks for food.
