Description
A beautiful voice coming from a high tower sets off a complicated rescue plan.
Summary
Arnie starts the Rune call with Chunt and Usidore. Chunt, currently a badger head on a stick, poses as a "warning" to the other creatures that pass by the beach. As Usidore is trying to figure out ways to fix the Fragmenting/Shattering before the Dark Lord's forces, Arnie discovers that he can scratch the the barrier with the sword, Obsidian Doom, that is still sticking out of his body. By scratching, he was able to enter a different section of the pocket.
During his romp out, Arnie discovers a tower and hears someone singing for help. She says her name is Rapunsale and she was trapped there by the Dark Lord (because of a bad business deal). She tells Arnie that he can help her by giving her valuables. Once he gives her a satchel of gold, she begins to call for help again.
Through the encouragement of Usidore and Chunt, Arnie enters the tower and finds that Rapunsale has plenty of gold. It turns out that Rapunsale is in the tower, scamming many passersby through many means, such as pyramid schemes. Even after the trio falls for many of her tricks, they still want to feel good about themselves for helping. They call their help as "appearance fees" and leave, letting others to fall victim to her.
