"Mail Night" is the fiftieth episode of season three of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on July 20, 2020.

Description

It's time to catch up on e-mails. And it's a descent into madness.

Summary

Arnie, Chunt, and Usidore does their weekly catch-up/podcast while they are separated by the Fragmenting/the Shattering/the Breaksies. Chunt, still missing his original body, has taken refuge with a decapitated muscle body. Arnie, able to move slowly through the pockets, finds Talbot, the badger.

Since they have no guest scheduled this week (and since they also had animals talking last week), it seems like a good times to catch up on all the emails the group has been missing out during their adventures:

  • Someone that did not include their name sent a long list of their Favorite Characters.
  • BL asks if Chunt can transform into an Alien and if Arnie is an Alien on Foon. The answer to both is probably.
  • MS from Dayton, Ohio is a Masters Student at University of Idaho for Geological Sciences, specifically glaciers. They ask if there are glaciers in Foon and if there are wizards for it. Usidore says yes and there's a wizard of Ice and Fire. The writer also thank them for the podcast and will dedicate them to their thesis. The group is offended that the writer would write their names in feces.
  • TJ asks how are the color of wizard is decided per power. The colors assigned to each power was random, but Usidore does go in depth of how wizards existed. (see note below).
  • Kate reminds the group of the "actual Earth name" that were allowed. Chunt suggests a song to help remember the list for the future.
  • Blair Kenny thanks the group for introducing them to Jethro Tull. They love the show, but their full name can only be said on the podcast.
  • Ryan asks what funny numbers are there in Foon. Chunt says its 336 since it looks like two sets of boobs and a flaccid penis.
  • Someone asks where the sword from the Dark Lord's Birthday party (Blade of Veysco Hallan) is since they might be able to use both obsidian swords to fix Arnie. Unfortunately, they don't know where it is. (See S3 Ep 48)
  • Garrett Schultz says they should take a break.
  • Someone asked if they have marijuana in Foon and if they smoke it before recording. The group doesn't but sometimes Chunt has a smokeless vape quill and Usidore tested everything.
  • Mandy ask for help because listening to the podcast while their 14 year old son was in the room made him obsessed with buttholes. Although Chunt wants buttholes to be celebrated, they record a clip for the other parents to hear to display good morals from the podcast.
  • Banana Bill Fartman theorizes that one of the Dark Lord's secret names is Rusty, a fan emailing around season 1 and 2.
  • Kevin M. thanks the group for helping them get through a tough time and reassure the group that the podcast is worth it. The trio thanks them and suggest if they ever feel down, write 336, say Banana Bill Fartman, or listen to Jethro Tull.
  • Brianna is curious of the rest of the residence of Hogsface after the events of the season 2 finale. The residents are making a new Hogsface, called Hogsfacer and Mayor Manana returned there. They don't assume that the people resent them.

In the end, Arnie says they want to make more of an effort to respond to the emails, either having auto replies if anyone asks "is this a real email address" or doing more email reads on the show proper.

Emails

Additional emails after Mundle the Grundle's chimes are:

  • A short email for Usidore. Subject: Hoobastank, Body: Shot one, I drunk.
  • Another short email saying "Go Left".
  • Ashley emails a joke and the group spends the rest of the time debating 1)whether to say it on air or not and 2)if the joke was even funny.
