Description
We check in with Gianessa, the former Sheriff of Hogsface, who is trying to rebuild and running for office. Actually running for many offices.
Summary
Flex Mulligan, i.e. Chunt shows off muscle body he acquired two weeks ago to Arnie and Talbot, who is still hanging around. It is very apparent that this decapitated body is decaying. Speaking of death and decay, Arnie is still pondering Usidore's existentialism, as he will cease to exist once he completes his purpose. Usidore explains that his afterlife will be ethereal and full of light and Arnie should be happy for him. Either way, Arnie will miss him once he completes his final adventure.
On a less depressing note, Usidore feels that the title of the podcast, Hello From the Magic Tavern, seems to be a misnomer since they haven't been in a tavern for some time. To combat this, he created a tiny tavern in his hat, which also has a tiny hat for him when he shrinks down to enter the tavern, and hopes that, after the Shattering/Fragmenting is over, Arnie and Chunt will be able to join him inside. Chunt asks if has a name, but Usidore is still workshopping it. He even debated to call it The New Vermilion Minotaur, which bring them to their guest; Usidore invited Gianessa Relkorus on to ask to take the name.
For the last year, Gianessa has been in Hogfacer, planning to repair the ruins left at The Destruction of Hogsface. Usidore claims responsibility as they we able to save all the people in the town, Foon, and Earth, and they are fairly certain that no one had died. The group tried to leave a note, but it must have blown away. As the trio left to defeat the Dark Lord for good, Gianessa is left behind to pick up the pieces, something she is used to at this point. She has been tired of all the work she's been putting in, forgetting the word for "bird" while describing chickens. Currently, Gianessa has done the majority of the work, but none of the title and recognition. She has decided to run for almost all the open positions in Hogsfacer and to be an agent of change for the people.
Gianessa is glad to be on the podcast so she can campaign. She has many disadvantages going for her, as she posed as a man for most of her career, people would not recognize her by name. It doesn't help that the town seems to be mostly sexist, as they are more likely to vote for inanimate objects than women. She is asking for the group to go back to Hogsfacer to vote for her (which the election is in two weeks). Initially, she wanted to get Arnie voting rights, but rescinds her offer when he assumes the kindness was only for political reasons. She runs mostly unopposed, but the group wants to assists her on her platform and slogans in any way they could.
Chunt becomes in charge of jingles for her campaign while Usidore comes up with a slogan for Gianessa; "Shit Up and Vote for Me". He and Arnie come up with different political topics that may come up during her run, such as if bears have any arms and the fact she wishes to get rid of the role of dog catcher. As much as the voting is a democratic process, Usidore reminds them that Foon is still ruled by the royals. It is possible that Gianessa herself may be royalty as she does not know her father and was raised on a cloud for the first three years of her life. Chunt hoped that she could use this as part of her platform, but since she is unsure of the validity, it would be dishonest.
Gianessa has already proven herself to be a great leader and the gang is confident that she will be victorious. Yet, Chunt says they can't discount the people's stupidity, so they set up a mock debate between Gianessa and a ladder, with Usidore being the ladder's stand in. Gianessa is hit with some hard questions about her birth and Dr. Ladder gets questions about his professionalism and his stepson's embezzling. Gianessa is told to step in, but her response comes off too aggressive, making Dr. Ladder more favorable. She becomes frustrated and confuses as it seems that she is losing the debate to a fictitious ladder to the point that she wishes death on the ladder. Arnie reminds her that the podcast is being recorded and broadcasted, forcing her to release a retraction statement. No matter what the results are, Gianessa vows to keep presisting for the greater good of Hogsfacer.
