Description
Sweet Prince Vantis wakes up from a hundred year sleep. Then he freaks out.
Summary
In attempt to find the last artifact in Castle Skullmaster, Chunt spent the week searching all the nooks and "grannies" within. Along with all the treasures and hard candies, he was able to find new rooms. Arnie attempts to asks questions about them, which Chunt only gives him three questions to ask, but Usidore takes two of them.
One of the rooms Chunt found was boarded up. So Chunt leads Arnie and Usidore past additioanl rooms and another Granny to the room. When they pry open the room, they find a dusty area with a man sleeping on a bed with coins on his eyes. The man wakes up, ready for his battle with SKullmaster. He assumes the gang to be part of Skullmaster's allies, but Usidore reassures him that they are on his side. The man is Prince Carne Vantis of the Red Desert., here at Castle Skullmaster to kill Skullmaster and resuce his betrothed, Karen McManus. He is popular in legend according to Usidore and Chunt, as they have heard of epics of Sweet Prince Vantis for the last 100 years.
Usidore fills him in about the stories about Prince Vantis, how his betrothed was taken to Velsmere before being taken by Skullmaster. Prince Vantis slayed many who was in his way, getting answers from ghosts, in order to reach Skullmaster. Arnie asks him about how he met Karen. In the Red Desert, there are many oases for respite. At one of them, Prince Vantis spotted a beautiful maiden, Brittney, looking for her friend, Karen. In their quest to find Karen, Brittney was killed by Prince Vantis's Blade. Before they continue with his stories, They had to leave the room because it smelled like Prince Vantis's piss and shit.
The group continue to fill Prince Vantis in, how Foon has mostly been taken over by the Dark Lord, the destruction of Hogsface, and how the Red Desert has been blown away for the last 99 years. Usidore wants to help Prince Vantis and he wishes to know the fate of Karen McManus. Karen has married Don Robertson, Prince Vantis's best friend. He was the one to say Karen was kidnapped. Prince Vantis is in disbelief and has proof containing a lock of her hair as a promise of their love. He then precedes to give everyone a lock to consume as well. While he an Usidore have a stairs contest, Arnie and Chunt depart if Prince Vantis is crazy or still sleeping.
To settle this, the whole group heads towards the "danger room" in the castle, a room that can create sce4narios for the user. The first scenario Prince Vantis summoned was to see Brittney, who asks Prince Vantis to leave Karen alone. He then proceeds to kill her once again with his blade. The next scenario was the courtroom from JAG, which Prince Vantis proceeds to stab everyone. Finally, Chunt summons the image of Karen McManus now, which the room shows the granny the the hallway that they've seen before. To protect her from Prince Vantis, Chunt and Arnie escape the danger room while Usidore distracts Prince Vantis. They board up the room to prevent his escape, but Usidore says that he'll be staying with the prince. As Usidore and Prince Vantis fight off the room, Chunt summons the Apocalypse for them.
