"Lord's Brother" is the sixth episode of season three of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on August 26, 2019.
Description
Diplomatic negotiations begin to secure Velsmeer’s army in the fight against the Dark Lord. But Faustus Crum, the Lord’s Brother, takes thing in an unexpected direction.
Summary
Arnie, Chunt, and Usidore, (and Eggy-Baby) are waiting in the antechamber of Faustus Crum, brother to the Lord of Velsmeer, who they hope will allow them to meet the Lord Todd, who can in turn offer the Velsmeeri Army to fight the Dark Lord. When Faustus arrives he leads the trio on a tour, and it quickly becomes clear he does not have a good relationship with his brother, who he resents for being chosen as king over himself. Also, Faustus is preoccupied with fucking tigers.
In Faustus' study, the trio enjoy Manhattans (a drink including a tiny man in a hat) while Faustus tries to embroil them in a conspiracy. If they help him steal the Velsmeeri symbol of office — the Tuntleman's Key — Faustus will be able to steal the throne and can guarantee support of the 40k strong army. The trio agree, and they proceed to Todd's home. Faustus distracts Todd while Arnie, Chunt, and Usidore sneak off to break into Todd's Tuntleman's room.
After navigating three traps they find themselves in front of the Tuntleman, an ornate lockbox, and recruit Neal Naners, one of the tiny men from the Manhattan's they drank earlier to break in. Neal retrieves the key, but Usidore grants him a boon of growth before he has escaped the box and dies. Faustus accepts the key and reveals his ruse to Todd, who he sends away dethroned.
Post Credit Scene
Arnie, Chunt, and Usidore deliver the news of Neal's death to his widow.
