"Flower in the City" is the eighty-fifth episode of season three of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on April 5, 2021.

Description

A walk through the city of Northeastia leads to a run-in with Flower, who has recently moved there to follow her dreams.

Summary

Usidore and Chunt give an intro and try to rebrand. Pretending it is the first episode of the podcast, they play characters to be featured. Arnie comes in late and tries a character as well, but he admits that he is not good at improv.

At the Open Air Markets, the group hears Flower selling her wares, salts. She made it to Northeastia and runs the stand as a day job to fund her dreams. The salts, however, are “dirty, dirty road salts''. Flower farts and the salts to make them smell nice so people do not notice they have been picked off the road/dead bodies. Despite her big dreams, Flower still revels in her own self-deprecations. But the group is hopeful in her success. Flower hopes to make it on Broadway, where she has prepared some talent pieces to get noticed.

The group go over their adventures in the city, like the plays and taverns around. Flower talks about her time on Cash Carriage and winning the game. Arnie has been accidentally finding brothels instead of taverns. Usidore and Chunt ask if Arnie has been to the Cheesecake Factory. When he says no, all three of them try to convince Arnie to take them to the Cheesecake Factory. The group also fills in Flower briefly on what they have been up to. Arnie tells her to keep the fact that Arnie has an artifact, but this is new news to Usidore and Chunt and has already told a handful of people. BLOG (Bitch Loves O’ Gossip!)

Arnie informs the group that before he met up with them, he lost track of Tomblain. When Arnie was checking up on the horse, some people grabbed Tom and dragged him away into a carriage. Arnie saw all of this happen and shook his fists at the kidnappers, however, he may have had his thumb up, so it looked like he was aggressively approving it. Usidore casts a spell on Arnie to have never-ending pasta to teach Arnie a lesson, but it may be more to his benefit.

Flower is still unsure if she can make it in the big city, but the group tells her to give it a week and establish more roots. Usidore talks about his tricks and talents, which gets him a role in Dogs, as casted by Chunt. The episode ends with Flower singing a number from the show.
