Description

Prince Tomblain begins the ceremony to become King but his sister Princess Trachea is waiting to kill him.

Summary

Krefnen carts Arnie, Chunt, Usidore, and Tomblain to the Bat Cave, where Tom must perform the Bat Dance. Arnie recounts that the podcast has been following Tom since episode 2. Tom is excited that his crowning will be the series finale of Hello from the Magic Tavern (it's not). Since they are wrapping up major storylines for the finale (still not the end), Usidore went on a crusade, killing long time enemy, Krellbar, with a giant fireball. Chunt has given everyone prince names so when they were all caught, there would be four princes to choose from.

In a rare instance, Tom is ready to bear the weight of responsibility of the throne. He explains to the group how the head expands with the new knowledge for ruling, shows off the King's Knob, and the long history of the previous kings. He also appoints Usidore to be The Official Magician of the Northeast and Chunt as the Royal Badger. When Tom states he was going to live forever, Usidore and Chunt warns him about the implication of saying that.

As Krefnem waits outside of the cave, the group takes precautions when they enter. Usidore asks Chunt and Arnie if they took care of Princess Trachea-Aurelia while he was off killing Krelbar, which they lie and say yes. The lie was short-lived when Trachea looms out of the shadows and taunts her brother. for his long winded speeches. The two banters with, seemingly sexual, insults which cumulates to Tom knowing his sister is evil since she drank from the Fountain of Evil as a child, the fountain which Trachea was tricked into drinking by her brother. However, Tom does blame himself for leading Trachea down the wrong path, so he atones by telling her to get revenge on him. This has been a dream come true for Trachea, but Tom doubts that she would be able to do it as he believes that she still has some good inside.

The stand off persists, even after the break and the host are unsure if Tom is actually trying to call Trachea's bluff or if Tom really wants to die. Tom suggests that they could rule together. Trachea believes that this is another trick by an older brother, but either way, Tom starts performing the Bat Dance. Trachea reveals that she has also learned the Bat Dance as a child and starts to dance and say the commands in sync. The host quickly realize that the Tom and Trachea have to do whatever commands that is said in the air, so Chunt start spitting out different actions and convinces "Prince Arnie" to do the same. Tom catches on that Chunt called Arnie "Prince Arnie" during the ritual, which transfer the king powers to Arnie. Arnie tries to worm his way out of the responsibility, which is ironic for Tom, who has been struggling for six years. Trachea refuses to kneel to Arnie, which is treason.

To pass the buck, Arnie declares that there will be no more kings and everyone will take turns in ruling, causing a power vacuum. Although Trachea called dibs, she did not call no take backsies, letting Krefnen to come in while checking on the group and take the King's Knob and becoming king. Arnie questions the validity of all these changes, but it is explained that it gets locked in once the person leaves the cave. Tom convinces Usidore to distract Krefnen long enough so he can grab the knob, but wavers in his conviction once he has it. Arnie suggest that just get Albain to rule again, but things did not end well the last time a ghost was king. King Albain would also most likely find the ones who had murdered him.

Trachea is open to rule with her brother, so they hold the knob together and share the powers of royalty. Krefnen is glad it all worked out and starts making his way out of the cave. However, they realize almost too late that once Krefnen leaves, he will become king again. Unfortunately, Usidore accidentally pushes him out. Trachea asks permission to murder him so she and her brother can rule. She asks Tom to assist the killing, which he reluctantly does so and the bond over the homicide.

As they all leave the cave, Arnie is left behind to gather the recording equipment. While gathering his things, Baron Ragoon Steps out of the shadows, criticizing Tom's plain appearance. Arnie assumes he wanted to be a guest, but the Baron comes for business, under the Dark Lord's orders to take the artifact from Arnie's head. Baron aggressively stuffs Arnie's head into a head sack and bound his hands. When Arnie warns Baron Ragoon that Usidore and Chunt will realize that he is gone, Baron Ragoon brings in Carfoon Arnie, from the Destruction of Hogsface, to distraction them while Arnie goes under extraction. Reveling in his ultimate revenge against Arnie, he drags him away while singing the ending tune.

After the post credit scene, Baron Ragoon advertises Masters of Mayhem Season 2 as Arnie calls out for help.
