Description

A demigoddess stops by to recruit followers.

Summary

Arnie tries to set up Chunt for a bar joke, but he gives a simple line. Instead, Chunt talks about the little demon in his heart, which he got diagnosed by a witch doctor. Arnie has not seen a good doctor in all his time in Foon. In the meantime, Arnie introduces his “new co-host”, Dorisue the Sorcerer, a sack of meat of a human who had to learn magic and was not innately blessed by the goddesses to do magic. Usidore booms his voice to the other two’s minds to reveal that “Dorisue '' is Usidore, which is blatantly obvious to them. Dorisue is colorfully dressed by the designer, Vera Fang, as a favor as he could not pay armorers or tanners given last week’s events.

Suddenly, a bright presence barges into the Strange Familiar. She announces that she is the demigoddess, Fooninoonia, demanding to join Arnie’s and Chunt’s table. Fooninoonia asks the two (as Arnold and Chuntillius) where Usidore is, as she can sense him despite his passing. Arnie explains his death and Dorisue introduces himself. She buys Arnie’s explanations, but does not expect to be interviewed. Instead, as the demigoddess of birds, rocks, mittens, podcasts, attempts to get home to one’s family and buttholes, Fooninoonia request that the three, including Usidore wherever he is, to become official acolytes of her, or Foonions. Arnie and Chunt are a little hesitant to join a religious movement, but agrees to hear more while Dorisue grovels at Fooninoonia’s feet.

From what Arnie knows so far about Foon, he thought it was only Foo, Ooo, and Oon were the only deities on Foon. Fooninoonia explains how the goddesses produced the 12 men and 12 women as children and copulated many other gods and goddesses. The group should already be familiar with Bruce the Sky God, who apparently does not have the same sexual game as popular belief makes him have. There is also Wuzzle, the Goddess of Raspberries, Lunchabelia, the Goddess of Supper, and Breakfastia, the Goddess of Lunch. Arnie asks how their powers and affinities are granted. Every month, the powers get together and volunteer themselves to take up the power. For instance, when Arnie came into the world and introduced the concept of podcasts, the power was up for grabs and Foonoonia took it. The belief gives the affinity power, but also creates a new responsibility for the corresponding deity.

Arnie intently listens to the demigoddess, but Fooninoonia thrusts the group straight into the baptism. They all take a vat of holy water with a little bit of squirrel piss to the eye. Next they are painfully given an Implanted Unicorn Device, or IUD, to the forehead. Chunt opts to put the IUD in the anus. This device allows all Foonions to shoot lasers at non-acolytes from it. Because of his choices, Arnie wonders who the God of Perverts is. Apparently, it’s Brenda. The last task to be done is for them to create a diorama of their summer vacation. Dorisue's display is about the time he met a pony named Macaroni. Chunt shows an ashtray with a paw print shaped turkey, made out of construction paper. Arnie made a scene from the Seventh Anniversary. They have now become official Foonions.

As official Foonions, they are requested to pray to her at 3 am, whether it is a literal prayer, singing a hymn, or whispering a secret to the smallest insect then let them free. They could also get a tattoo of any of her affinities. Chunt asks about additional resources, which can be found at the bottom of the river. Dorisue is excited to find other worshipers, but Fooninoonia says there’s only about a dozen of them. Arnie goes into a sidebar with Chunt and Dorisue and asks if she is really Brenda playing a prank. However, Chunt says Brenda would have dropped the act by now. They rejoin Fooninoonia and thank her for being their guest. She returns the sentiment and wishes them a happy 7 years to their show and wishes them 7 more, thus cursing them to continue.

Post Credit Scene

The guys continue to use their IUDs.

Emails

  • Chunt received an email from Saffron, immediately saying to not let “Arnold” hear this. The sender implicates Arnie for killing off anyone who gets too close to Chunt to maintain his status as his best friend. Saffron requests Usidore (if he was “still alive”) to cast some sort of protection spell and calls Arnie “Sus”. Arnie denies this and wouldn’t kill on purpose, despite having a kill list.
  • Arnie receives a message from Tim, wishing the group a Happy 7 Year Anniversary. The user wonders if Pimbly Nimblebottom is from Nibblebottom. However Nimblebottom is not the same as Nibblebottom. And whoever named the town must have been surprised that Nimblebottom existed. The group hopes to have Pimbly back on the show, if he is still alive.
  • Another email from Jack Marenzie comes through, telling the guys that they make some great stuff. The emailer gives an acronym for Arnie Chunt and Usidore, ACU (pronounced Ahchoo). However, Usidore is gone and Dorisue is with them, so it would be ACD.
