Description
Apparently Flower has been in Nibblebottom this whole time and has been avoiding the podcast. Until now.
Summary
Arnie asks Usidore where Chunt is as they are ready to start the podcast. Usidore doesn’t know, but wants to talk about a special rock he found. Arnie denies the request and confirms that Usidore will be Dorisue the Sorcerer this episode. As they start, Chunt comes back with a huge crate he received near the start of the podcast run. When they open it up, the contents reveal to be Clunky, a rambunctious badger and Chunt’s nephew. Immediately, Clunky pranks the group and causes mischief all over the tavern throughout the episode. Arnie and Dorisue are suspicious of him and worried for Chunt’s wellbeing. Meanwhile, Chunt is still drinking bear piss. How em-bear-pissing.
For the podcast, Arnie did not plan a guest and hopes that they could catch up. However, Arnie does spot a familiar Flower and invites her up to the table, which she reluctantly goes. After coming to Nibblebottom during the Winter Solstice Season, Flower has not left town. She has been avoiding the hosts during her time there because she simply did not want to talk to them. Dorisue is ready to reveal himself to Flower, but she already knows that it is Usidore. He confronts her about not seeing him on his death day, but she claims she did not know and did not care. Instead, Flower has been starting a new business at the base of the mountain, a smoothie stand called “SmooOoothy”. The smoothies are fruit based with one dangerous items like broken glass or road salts.
Although they lament on Usidore’s death, the hosts realize that they don’t know too much about Flower’s basic nature. She describes herself as “a millennial” and does not recognize age the same way as the hosts do, but lives a seasonal existence. She has seeds, but has no desire to spread them any time soon. She had choked on her own seed in the past, letting the group know that she can perform first aid on herself and can be considered a causal doctor. She asks the others to describe their different educational training and certifications.
Dorisue still looks onto Arnie to see if he is acting properly as other humans do. Arnie states that his language is a little fluffy, as poets would speak and Usidore considers Dorisue’s path in life. Chunt prompts Dorisue for a poem about Rocks, which give Dorisue the opportunity to talk about the rock he had at the top of the show. Flower ask for the rock to add to her smoothies. Chunt asks Flower about her other ventures in Nibblebottom while Clunky’s antics reach a fever pitch. The more that Clunky’s hijinks go on, the more that the group questions Clunky’s identity and motivations. Having enough of him, Flower intimidates Clunky, demanding to know his deal. When he is unable to stand up for himself, he falls silent and removes the costume he has via the zipper on his clothes, revealing a smaller version of the original form, named Dalonkey.
The four go over the emails they have received. One of the emails asks if the three hosts plan to go see Hogsfacer. It may be nostalgia or maybe because they are obligated to, Arnie suggests they go right now to see the town. They put Flower in charge to oversee Tormaline Dragon Teen and the Dark Lord in the basement while they are gone and they hype up their journey.
Emails
- Chunt received an email from Isaac Green from Chicago, a long time listener who has been enjoying the recent Patreon content. They ask when Usidore and Chunt met, how they became friends and why. Chunt states he knew Usidore forever and liked each other. Arnie remembers that Usidore knew Chunt when he was a small kid at the Vermilion Minotaur. Flower remembers a rain day scene between the two as she was there, or at least feels like she was there.
- Arnie received an email from Mason K, who has been catching up during the holidays. They ask them if they have been to Hogsfacer yet and want to hear from the likes of Mayor Manana and Bungaree Chubbins. Chunt quibbles that the listeners can email without being caught up. So they establish a code word for the subject line to filter people out. More is described in the summary.

Notes
- Usidore and Chunt have varying origin stories. One of the first comes from Season 1, Ep 25 - Eagles, where Chunt was a worm and Usidore asked him to call on the eagles to help.
Behind the Scenes
- Dorisue mentions that they might be obligated to go to Hogsfacer. This is a direct reference to the first Patreon Poll where patrons can influence the content produced. One of the options was an episode where they visit New Hogsface, which won that quarterly poll.
