"Fooniverse - Spintax Book Release Party" is a Patreon bonus episode of Hello from the Magic Tavern. It was originally released on February 10, 2022.

Description

Spintax promotes the follow up to his hugely successful book, the Pandenomicon.

Summary

At the Bones and Narbles bookstore, owner Grashmillion Runderguttt begins to introduce the Book Release Party he is hosting. He had invited two authors; Spintax the Green and Jojo Seewah.

After the success of his first book, the Pandenomicon and his stint on Earth, Spintax is ready to release the sequel, THE PANDENOMICON!. As the first book focused on all the demons in Foon, Spintax focuses on the demons within one’s self and how to destroy them. As for Jojo, they are a big fan of Spintax and is promoting a new book to their series, Fuck Your Face, a self-help guide on fixing one’s fucked up face. The book acts as a quiz notebook to which both Grash and Spintax sample.

Grash interviews the two authors, starting with why Spintax would write a sequel. Spintax noted that after he wrote the first Pandenomicon, he had nothing left to do. Once more, the all-encompassing nature of the book got diminished as more time has gone by and new truths and lie are created. This means more to write and sell. He also hopes to make more money out of this book as the first book fucked off somewhere. Grash asks if Spintax plans to sell the book on Earth too and if the book was inspired by his time there, to which Spintax confirms that he will as he has been sending the manuscripts to some monks on Earth via a small, mail slot size portal.

Jojo finds an opening to analyze Spintax and ask him more questions from their book. Spintax agrees to answer more questions if Jojo slays some of their inner demons using his book. Grash also partakes in more questions. Grash then asks the two what their process of writing is like, to which they both answer at the same time. Jojo finds a wharf and has seagulls pick at them or ghost write. Spintax picks fights with family and friends and use that rage to write or start from a marketing standpoint.

Spintax and Grash focus on Jojo’s outward appearance as their face is so fucked up. They speculate on the ways that Jojo fucked up their face and figure out more ways to fix it outside of their book series. Spintax even offers to fix their face with magic, but is rebuffed as the spell may be more of a curse than a gift.

As the interview goes on and Grash asks what the authors hope the audience gets out of their book, it is revealed that Grash has multiple motives to have two guests at once: he enjoys seeing the authors fight for attention and tries to push his own book ideas as Grash is a writer himself. The two seem interested until Grash mentions his Doug Steel books, which arouses the two and could have the potential of being performed by the Cockticklers. Grash thanks the two and closes the event.

Space Bunker Plot

At the end of the episode, Craig and PV3 seek out the Doug Steel series in another dimension.
