Description
Grimhoof and Usidore find themselves in a strange temple with an old friend.
Summary
Usidore & Grimhoof are in the seaside village of Dirthsidane when the amulet steers them to unfamiliar temple where they find Jamillious the Mauve. Jamillious has been seeking knowledge and beats for his next mix-spell. He was ready to move on from the temple but a dream told him to remain for one more day, convincing Usidore they were meant to meet.
Jamillious, Grimhoof, and Usidore discuss spell-craft and past magical pioneers, including another Jamillious who lived 1,000 years ago and left a blueprint the current Mauve wizard has been following for the last year. On the back of the blueprint is a language Jamillious cannot recognize, but Usidore can read in it instructions on where to find a secret compartment in this very temple.
Under the floor stones they find the four mystical statues of EGOT. Impressed by Usidore's insight Jamillious says he hopes one day to be half the wizard his old teacher Usidore is. Usidore replies that Jamillious has easily become his peer, even surpassing him in some ways. Jamillious promises to dedicate his next great spell to Usidore, and he & Usidore discuss Usidore's precarious position with Jyn'Leeviyah the Red and the Wizards Council. Usidore & Grimhoof, the items gathered, race to complete their quest by returning to the Bloated Rabbit.
Space bunker
Craig is hiding from Bunko in Space Bunker Epsilon's ducts, lamenting PV3's murder and planning his next move. He assumes he has been captured when the "flesh goblin" Bunko fabricated finds him, but is overjoyed it find that it contains the brain of PV3, who transferred to it when Bunko seized his body. An even greater surprise: PV3's brain is an organic human brain, and has been from the beginning.
